FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Kroger has finished the transition from selling furniture at its two Marketplace stores in Fort Wayne to selling clothing at the Dupont Road and Village at Coventry locations. The company is celebrating grand openings to mark the occasion.
Kroger announced it was making the change in July after a year of watching purchasing trends and evaluating customer feedback. The stores will still offer furniture and home decor items on a seasonal and promotional basis.
National clothing brands are being featured including the following:
- Hanes Classics
- Jockey Activewear
- Signature by Levi Strauss & Co.
- Gloria Vanderbilt
- Genuine Dickies
The following private label brands will be featured:
- Great Northwest Indigo
- Michael Morgan
- Cascade Sport
- Everyday Living Basics
The Dupont Road Marketplace store opened in September 2011 and the Village at Coventry store opened in October 2012. A third Marketplace store is planned for Fort Wayne.
