FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Election Day is three days away, but many people aren’t waiting until then to vote. There were long lines to vote early at the Rousseau Center in downtown Fort Wayne Saturday.
In Allen County, around 5,000 people have already cast their ballot. That’s about the same as the 2010 election, which was the last non-presidential election.
“It’s just like voting at the polls. You need to bring a photo ID, sign in with clerk, it’s an electronic poll book instead of paper poll book, and then you’ll be taken back to machines,” Beth Dlug, the Allen County Election Board director, said.
The Election Board office will be open again on Monday from 8 a.m. to noon for the final day of early in-person voting. The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Election Day Tuesday.
