Meet the Candidates: Liz Brown

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Two state senate candidates are running for a seat in office that hasn’t been open for nearly 30 years.

Sen. Tom Wyss has been representing District 15 since 1985 but announced earlier this year that he won’t be running for re-election.

In the primaries, four candidates were running for the Republican nomination. Republican Liz Brown beat out the other candidates for that nomination.

Brown has an extensive background in law, is a former Fort Wayne City Council member and a mother of seven.

Brown is running against Democrat Jack Morris.

About 130,000 people live in District 15 which encompasses Perry, Washington, St. Joseph and Wayne townships.
