Meet the Candidates: David Gladieux

Allen County Sheriff David Gladieux

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The position for Allen County Sheriff is up for grabs after being held by Ken Fries for nearly 8 years.

Republican candidate David Gladieux is running for Sheriff against Democrat David Roach. Gladieux won the nomination over Indiana State Trooper Luke NaThalang in the May primaries.

Gladieux is currently the Chief Deputy with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department. He has been with the department for 28 years serving in various positions such as K9 handler and road patrol. Gladieux is also a lifelong resident of Allen County.

Roach has been active with Fort Wayne organizations including the Rescue Mission, Salvation Army and Matthew 25 Health Clinic. He also served in the US Navy for three years.

Ken Fries served as Sheriff for seven and a half years, but term limits prevented him from running for a third term.
