USF Gets Fans Ready For Basketball Season With “Cougar Madness”

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The reigning NAIA women’s national championship team received their rings Tuesday night at Hutzell Athletic Center as Saint Francis hosted “Cougar Madness” to kick off the basketball season.
The USF women’s team went 38-0 last season, capturing the national title. While Skylarr Shurn, Kalah Baer, and Jenelle Wilson have all graduated Brooke Ridley leads a solid group of returnees. The Cougars open the season against St. Xavier on October 31 at a tournament in Mishawaka.
On the men’s side, USF lost all-American Scott Kohne to graduation, but Austin Fox returns to lead a group that opens the season October 31 in a tournament at Huntington University against Ohio Mid-Western College.
