INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indiana State Museum will mark the state’s 200th birthday with an exhibition to showcase 200 objects illuminating Indiana’s natural and cultural history.
The exhibit called “Indiana in 200 Objects” is among 28 projects the Indiana Bicentennial Commission has endorsed as Bicentennial Legacy Projects to mark the state’s 200th birthday in 2016.
The commission said Monday that the latest round of projects brings to more than 100 the number of legacy projects it has endorsed.
Other projects endorsed earlier this month include an Owen County trail network to connect neighborhoods and encourage people to enjoy McCormick’s Creek State Park and their White River heritage and a Richmond Art Museum exhibit featuring landscape paintings from Indiana state parks and recreation areas.
