FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – If learning to curl is on your bucket list, a Fort Wayne club has got you covered.
The Fort Wayne Curling Club will teach you how to play the Olympic sport. The club is holding sessions twice a month.
Organizers said people ages ten to 80 are welcome.
“When curling was reintroduced to the Olympics just after 2000, it started to get TV coverage after the Olympics and the sport has grown tremendously. We think curling is a great sport for a city the size of Fort wayne. It gives another recreational opportunity especially during the winter when the recreational opportunities are a lot less,” Craig Fischer, the president of the curling club, said.
The sessions cost $20. The next one is on November 5 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Click here for more information.
