GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) – Officials in Greenfield said an autopsy on a 4-year-old boy indicates there was no foul play involved in his death.

On Thursday, Greenfield police and fire departments responded to the home of Mark and Angella Gilliatte, where the child, Noah, was found in the bedroom on his bed.

The family indicated that Noah had flu-like symptoms Wednesday evening. Andrea said she was with the child until 8:30 p.m. and went back to check on him at 10:30 p.m. She told police Noah was still sick, but doing fine. Authorities say when the family woke up, Andrea went to check on Noah and found him unresponsive.

The autopsy indicates that nothing beyond illness caused Noah’s death, police said.

A pathologist is now doing additional testing to try to determine what type of illness the Noah had. Those tests could take weeks to complete, according to police.
