Red Cross raises nearly $3 million for Ebola relief

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  The American Red Cross has been working nationally and internationally to help ongoing relief efforts in response to the Ebola outbreak. As of October 14, the organization has raised $2.9 million to supporting Ebola relief efforts in the affected West African countries.

The Red Cross has mobilized 4,000 volunteers to bring prevention information and education to communities on lock down.

In the U.S., the American Red Cross provided clothing, hygiene supplies, bottled water, snacks and other items to support the immediate needs of the Dallas family in isolation.
