It happened on the city’s near west side around 8:30 p.m. According to police, an officer noticed a pick-up truck with no head lamps on and tried to make a traffic stop, but the vehicle took off.

After a short pursuit, the driver crashed into a building at the intersection of Belmont Avenue and Oliver Street.

Police found out a 13-year-old boy was driving the vehicle and a 14-year-old girl was the passenger. Both were taken to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital with minor injuries.
