$1.2M awarded to Ind. domestic violence shelters

(WANE) Several women’s crisis agencies in Indiana received funding from the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute’s Victim Services Subcommittee. The committee approved more than $1.2 million dollars in additional funding for 48 domestic violence shelters.

Among the shelters that were approved for the funding was first time recipient, Elijah Haven Crisis Intervention Center, Inc. in LaGrange Indiana. The shelter received $17,160 in additional funding awards from Victim Services Subcommittee.

Other centers that received funding in the area were the YWCA Northeast Indiana, it received $40,077. The Center for Nonviolence in Allen County received $33, 106.

The Kosciusko County Shelter for Abuse Inc. received $41,063 for additional funding.
