Agribusiness company picks Ossian for first U.S. plant

OSSIAN, Ind. (WANE) German based HALDRUP USA will create up to 65 new jobs when it opens a 24,000 square foot facility in Ossian Industrial Park. HALDRUP manufactures field research equipment for the agriculture industry. It plans to break ground this month and begin operations immediately at a leased location nearby.

HALDRUP, which currently employs approximately 167 associates worldwide, has already begun hiring for sales, clerical, field service, technical service, engineering, manufacturing and logistics positions in Indiana. ”Ultimately, we chose Indiana because of its low tax climate and pro-business policies,” said Phillip Stoller, vice president of HALDRUP USA “We also think the state’s emphasis on creating healthy families is an investment in creating productive employees.”
