INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police are searching for a man who is considered armed and dangerous after three people were shot in two different locations on Saturday night.
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials, Daniel Brown, 42, was driving along W. 71st Street around 6 p.m. with his fiancé, her friend and a child inside the car. The couple got into an argument and Brown shot his fiance’s friend, according to police.
The woman then got of the car and ran behind the Rickers gas station located at 6050 W. 71st Street. Police said Brown ran after her and kept shooting.
Brown then ran nearby to the TownePlace Suites on W. 71st and carjacked a man in the parking lot before driving to his home on W. 72nd Place. There, he switched cars and grabbed his brown pit bull.
Police said Brown then drove to the Gateway Motel in the 1700 block of Lafayette Road and shot a man and a woman there. Officials said Brown knows the two victims, but would not elaborate on their connection.
Police said all of this happened in less than hour.
As of 9:20 p.m., the woman who was shot on 71stStreet was listed in serious condition at St. Vincent.
The woman who was shot at the motel was listed in critical condition and the man was treated and released.
Officials said Brown is described as 5’7″ and weighs 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown leather jacket and red shorts.
Brown has tattoos on his arms and a goatee.
Brown is driving a white 2009 Nissan Altima with chrome rims and tinted windows. The Indiana license plate number is SR3320. His brown pit bull is also in the car with him.
IMPD said Brown is armed and considered dangerous. Call 911 immediately if you see Brown or his vehicle.
