‘Day at the Farm’ funds horse therapy program

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A therapeutic riding center hosted a fundraiser to help raise money for its therapy program, riding equipment and the needs of its horses.

The ‘Day at the Farm and Cross Country Gallop’ at Oak Hill Farm featured a 5K run, a children’s horse show, raffle, face painting and a silent auction. There was also live music and food.

The festival is from noon to 5 p.m. at 4982 East Station Rd in Roanoke, Ind.

Oak Hill Farm is a PATH International certified and accredited non-profit organization dedicated to promoting horseback riding for the handicapped, according to the Oak Hill Farm website.

Oak Hill Farm serves Allen and Huntington counties as well as Turnstone clients. They work with children and adults who face physical, emotional and/or social challenges.
