Fort Wayne’s first WingFest promises fun for all

Doors to WingFest open at noon at Headwaters Park on Sunday.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Sunday marks a special day for wing lovers in Fort Wayne. It’s the first annual WingFest at Headwaters Park from noon until 9 p.m.

The festival showcases three categories of chicken wings: Hot, barbecue or an exotic seasoning. Each category of wing will be part of a ‘Truly Blind Taste Test’ system with patron and local celebrity judges.  More than 10 local wing eateries entered the WingFest competition.

Also at the festival is a hot wing eating contest, a NFL Game Zone with an 80 inch screen television, a Kid Zone for families and a full service bar.

Tickets to the event downtown are $7. Funds from it help support various charities including the SPCA.

Tickets can be purchased at the door.
