FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Stacy Nagy tied Erika Stouder for career solo blocks with 107 in a straight set, 3-0, victory over Lawrence Tech in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest on Wednesday.
Nagy did it all for the Warriors (8-5, 3-2) in the win as she also led the team with a .500 attack percentage while finishing second on the team with seven kills to go along with her team-high two blocks, giving her 107 over her four years.
Tech outhit the Blue Devils (6-8, 2-4), .155 (41-23-116) to .062 (22-15-113) in the contest including a .303 (10-6-39) mark in the final set. The Warriors dominated the first and third sets; however, it took back-to-back kills from Christine Foest and Katelyn St. Martin to escape the second game with a 26-24 victory.
Shanice Richards led the team with 10 kills with St. Martin and Nagy each collecting seven and Cassandra Sarabia tallying six. Karli Jones led the team with 33 assists in the game.
Taylor Kelso collected a team-high 20 digs with St. Martin adding 15 and Elizabeth Mathews tallying 10/ The Warriors collected 71 digs in the match while also posting five solo blocks with Nagy and Richards collecting two each.
The Warriors return to action on Friday, Sept. 26 when they travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. to face Cornerstone who is currently receiving votes in the latest NAIA Coaches’ Poll.
