FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)- A woman who lives in Fort Wayne will be traveling down to Texas later this year, where she will get a national honor for her fundraising efforts.
Doctors diagnosed Ann Larmore with multiple sclerosis back in 2002. Since then, she’s made a huge effort to raise funds for combating that disease.
Over the past 12 years, she has raised $350,000, some of which came from a yearly event called “Rock the Cure.”
Larmore said she’s excited to be inducted into the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Volunteer Hall of Fame.
“It’s very humbling,” said Larmore. “That’s not the reason I do the fundraising, but it’s a really nice byproduct and I’m very grateful.”
She and six other people from around the country will receive the honor in November.
