FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A woman was arrested in a McDonald’s parking lot on Rudisill Boulevard Tuesday after police said she allegedly threatened to shoot two people she was involved in a traffic accident with. Shariah Haywood, 22, faces charges of criminal recklessness, possession of marijuana and pointing a firearm.

According to the affidavit for probable cause, on September 16 around 3:15 p.m., police responded to a McDonald’s in Fort Wayne after they received a call about a disturbance involving a handgun.

When police arrived they spoke with two witnesses who said they were attempting to back up in the parking lot when their vehicle collided with a black Charger. They told police the driver of the Charger threatened them. According to court documents, the passenger of the Charger, who was later identified as Haywood, got out of the Charger and pointed the gun at both of them and threatened to shoot.

As police searched the Charger, they found a purse with a plastic baggie inside containing less than a tenth of an ounce of marijuana.

Haywood will be formally charged in court Monday.
