CARLISLE, Ind. (WTHI) – A Fort Wayne woman was arrested while visiting at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility for drug charges.

Heather Roberts, 43, was questioned by Correctional Police Officers after she was processed for her visit.

While she was being questioned, Roberts told the officers she had drugs hidden and she had arranged to get them to her boyfriend inside the facility.

She turned over 30 suboxone strips weighing 1.9 grams contained in a balloon.

“If you try to bring drugs or any other contraband into our facility, expect to be arrested and charged,” said Superintendent Richard Brown.

Roberts faces preliminary charges of trafficking with an inmate and possession of a scheduled narcotic substance.

Roberts was transported to the Sullivan County Jail with bond set at $19,000.
