FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)- A choking incident at Freimann Square has led to charges for a homeless man.

James Glenn is now facing strangulation and battery charges.

Below is a summary of the way police tell the story in court documents:

Glenn’s ex-girlfriend was walking around the fountain in Freimann Square last week when Glenn approached her. He got in her face and yelled a few times, but she kept walking.

That was when police said Glenn ran after her, pushed her onto a bench and started choking her.

Officers arrested Glenn, who has previous domestic battery convictions in Ohio and South Carolina, at the scene.
