Report: Mathis Lost For Season with Torn Achilles

According a report from Pro Football Talk, Colts linebacker Robert Mathis suffered a torn Achilles while training in Atlanta last week and is done for the season. Mathis is currently serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing drug policy. Mathis maintains he tested positive for a banned substance he was taking to help with fertility issues.

Last season the 33-year-old lead the NFL with a career-high 19.5 sacks.
