NFL Veteran Baker Helps Lead Parkview Foundation Fundraiser

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Fort Wayne native and NFL veteran Jason Baker was among the 200 community members and golfers who spent their day at the Fort Wayne Country Club for the Parkview Foundation’s annual golf classic.
This year’s fundraiser benefited the new Catie B. Circle of Care program. The program provides professional navigators to help families and caregivers coordinate care for chronically or seriously ill or injured children.
Baker, a Wayne high school graduate, participated in the golf out to help champion the new program. He and his wife have a one-year-old daughter named Marilyn.
Baker punted in the NFL for seven teams from 2001-2012. He is best known for punting for the Carolina Panthers for eight seasons. While he wasn’t in camp with a team this preseason Baker hesitate to call himself retired, noting he would like to punt this season if the opportunity arises.
