FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) – With dozens of area game postponed until Saturday due to severe weather on Friday night, East Noble made perhaps the loudest statement of the early NHC season, upending Homestead 35-18 at Walter Memorial Stadium. Dillon Fuller put on a show, scoring four touchdowns to help lead the Knights as the Spartans vaunted offense was held in check for most of the afternoon.
In SAC play, Bishop Dwenger got a scare from North Side, before the Saints held on for a 22-21 win. Dwenger entered the day holding a 22-12 lead in the third quarter, but a fumble followed by an Aron Nieves touchdown pass quickly pulled the Redskins within three. After the Saints surrendered a safety on their subsequent offensive series, they would settle down, intercepting two North passes to help ice the game.
Meanwhile, Wayne picked up where it left off with Concordia, putting on another offensive display as the Generals roll to a 60-36 win.
