NECC & Others Week 3 Recap

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – No NECC team entered Friday night with two wins this season.  At the end of the night that statistic proved to still be true.  All ten schools ended the night in a weather delay and will resume play Saturday.

Garrett and Churubusco, two of the conference favorites for 2014, called their contest with a couple minutes to play in the first quarter.  The Railroaders lead that game, 14-0. The last play before the game was called was a Austin Johnson interception. The Railroader defensive back was greeted by teammates on the sideline moments after the play.

Garrett will have possession when the game resumes at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Angola at Fremont will resume at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Eastside and West Noble will restart at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Prairie Heights and Lakeland will resume at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Fairfield at Central Noble will play at noon Saturday.

In the North Central Conference, Huntington North will resume its game with Richmond at 4 p.m.  The Vikings lead that contest in the fourth quarter, 21-7.

Lastly, Whitko’s Three Rivers Conference game with Southwood has been suspended. It will resume at 5 p.m Saturday from South Whitley.
