FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – No NECC team entered Friday night with two wins this season. At the end of the night that statistic proved to still be true. All ten schools ended the night in a weather delay and will resume play Saturday.
Garrett and Churubusco, two of the conference favorites for 2014, called their contest with a couple minutes to play in the first quarter. The Railroaders lead that game, 14-0. The last play before the game was called was a Austin Johnson interception. The Railroader defensive back was greeted by teammates on the sideline moments after the play.
Garrett will have possession when the game resumes at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Angola at Fremont will resume at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Eastside and West Noble will restart at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Prairie Heights and Lakeland will resume at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Fairfield at Central Noble will play at noon Saturday.
In the North Central Conference, Huntington North will resume its game with Richmond at 4 p.m. The Vikings lead that contest in the fourth quarter, 21-7.
Lastly, Whitko’s Three Rivers Conference game with Southwood has been suspended. It will resume at 5 p.m Saturday from South Whitley.
