FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The city is offering free bike racks to qualifying commercial property owners in Fort Wayne.

Mayor Tom Henry made the announcement on Friday. The city will offer 75 free bike racks and instillation to businesses located within City limits, that are about one-half mile or less from a trail.

“This is a great way to promote healthier lifestyles and economic development,” said Mayor Henry. “I encourage local businesses to take advantage of the free bike racks and build their customer base so it includes people who pedal as well as those who drive.”

Property owners interested in having a bike rack installed can call 311 for details.
