SYRACUSE, Ind. (WANE)- Indiana conservation officers and Kosciusko County police partnered to track down and arrest a young man suspected of dangerous boating on Lake Wawasee Sunday night.

The Kosciusko County Lake Patrol tried to stop a cigar-style boat that police said was going at a high rate of speed across Lake Wawasee around 9:30 p.m.

Investigators said the boat did not have any lights on and said the driver fled from police. Police chased the boat right to a conservation officer who was on the lake.

Daniel Peterson, 24, of Goshen, faces multiple charges, including resisting law enforcement and dangerous operation of a motorboat.
