Excise arrests 18 during Ball State football tailgate

MUNCIE, Ind. (WANE)  Eighteen people were arrested for underage drinking while tailgating at a Ball State University football game Saturday, Indiana State Excise Police said.

Excise officers made the arrests in tailgating parking lots near Scheumann Stadium. Ball State beat the Colgate Raiders 30 to 10 Saturday.

In the past two weeks, Indiana State Excise Police have arrested more than 100 people in Muncie on various charges including false statement of age, giving alcohol to minors and illegal possession of alcohol.
