Businesses, schools bringing party to northside corridor

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A local organization is revitalizing the area along North Anthony Boulevard and Crescent Avenue with the help of schools and businesses.

The North Anthony Corridor Groups mission is to make the area a place for the community to enjoy. IPFW, Ivy Tech, Firefly Coffee House and Wooden Nickel are some of the members of the group. The area is home to coffee shops, ice cream shops, trails, restaurants and other shops.

The group will be putting on a family friendly block party to highlight what the corridor offers.There will be food, live music, face painting and a car and art show.

The block party is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 7 in the area between Coliseum and Crescent.

Part of North Anthony will be blocked off for the event.
