5 injured in Sunday car crash

NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) Five people were injured in a crash Sunday morning after police believe a vehicle was traveling too fast.

According to the Noble County Sheriff’s Department, a car was headed north on County Road 750 West, north of 500 Ligonier around 2:45 a.m. The car ran off the road and struck a tree head on. Police said the driver was pinned in the vehicle and suffered possible neck and back injuries.

The driver was air lifted to a hospital in Fort Wayne. Three of the four passengers were transported by EMS to the same hospital with injuries including abdominal pain and a head injury.
