Suspect runs off after gas station armed robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Fort Wayne police are investigating an armed robbery early Thursday morning.

Police were called to Circle K, 2304 Sherman Boulevard, just after 2 a.m. for a reported armed robbery.

Officers said a man went into the gas station and showed a gun.

The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.

Police canvassed the area and a K-9 officer attempted to the track the suspect down West State Boulevard. No one was found.

A description of the possible suspect was not immediately available.

The incident is under investigation.

Last week, a man attempted to rob the Speedway gas station on Sherman Boulevard but got away.
