FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  A new show debuted at the Allen County Fairgrounds this weekend. The ‘Paint the Town’ Horse Show brought about 100 competitors to the area to show off their horse.

The name comes from the name of the horses shown at the fairgrounds, a Paint Horse is a breed of horse. The show is a competition that highlights the relationship between the horse and its handler.

“These riders spend a lot of time and a lot of effort to find the best horse they can and really put the hours and the time in that it takes to compete at this high a level,” show manager Jim Dettmer said.

Organizers said competitors come from all over the Midwest to compete in the show.
