Heritage Deep At Skill Positions In 2014

MONROEVILLE, Ind. (WANE) – After going 7-4 in 2013 the Heritage Patriots return the bulk of their offense this fall in head coach Dean Lehrman’s fourth season.
Quarterback Branson Dossen returns as a senior after throwing for 2,467 yards and 20 touchdowns last season. Receiver Nate Roop (40 catches, 484 yards) returns as does running back Justyn Hart (915 yards rushing). The coaching staff has also moved Bradley Scott to tight end.
“Our skill guys are really the basic elements that we’ve already put together,” Lehrman says. “That’s a great nucleus of weapons where there is no one superstar.”
Heritage is looking for consistent play from an offensive line that lost numbers do to graduation.
Defensively, Jacob Meyers will help anchor the Patriots up front.
Heritage opens the season at home on Friday against New Haven.
