Madame Ants hold auditions

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A national championship winning team deserves some serious spirit, right? The Madame Ants are looking to do just that.

The Mad Ants dance team held tryouts Sunday afternoon. The team performs at all homes games. The team’s coach says being a Madame Ant is about more than just dancing.

“They take on a big role as far as keeping the crowd into the game, keeping the fans excited, and entertained. And, in the community, they attend all the community performances within the elementary schools, the middle schools, and high schools. And they do a lot of other community things with the Army and National Guard,” the team’s choreographer and coach, Sheenah Johnson, said.

This is the eighth season for the dance team. To see the new roster, check out the team’s Facebook page.
