Witness: Bicyclist shot after verbal altercation

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Police in Evansville are investigating the death of a man a witness says was shot following a verbal altercation with a man in a car.

Police say the shooting occurred about 3:25 a.m. Saturday. Officers responding reports of shots fired and the man was found in the street who was not breathing.

A person who was with the victim says the shooting occurred after in a car yelled at them as they were riding bicycles.

The name of the victim has not been released because police were still notifying family.
