FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Traffic was down to one lane for several hours on I-469 northbound near exit 17, near Minnich Road in southeast Fort Wayne.
According to officials on the scene, the accident happened just before 6 a.m. on Tuesday when the semi driver reached down for something, left the roadway and was unable to recover.
A homeland security official was to check for a possible fuel spill because the truck landed in a ravine. However, the oil spill wasn’t large enough to cause concern.
The health department was also on scene to check on the conditions of the trucks cargo – grapes.
The driver had minor injuries but refused treatment.
