Luers Grad Spencer Could Avoid PUP List

Anthony Spencer

DALLAS (WANE) – According to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones Bishop Luers graduate Anthony Spencer is recovering faster than expected and could avoid being put on Dallas’ physically unable to perform list to start the season.
Spencer has been sidelined after having microfracture surgery in his left knee last October. He played in part of just one game last season for the Cowboys.
A report from The Dallas Morning News Jones says the quicker recovery means the Cowboys will have a decision to make with the 53-man roster cut looming. They can put Spencer on the PUP list to start the season – meaning he’ll be ruled out for the first six games – or keep him on the roster.
