STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE)  The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office wants to alert people of a debit card scam for Farmers State Bank members. The bank received several reports this morning from customers saying they have received an automated call that claims to be from Farmers State Bank.

According to police, the automated message claims the person’s debit card has been compromised. Police want everyone to be aware the call is a scam and not the bank calling. Farmers State Bank does not use automated messages to alert customers of debit card fraud.

If anyone receives a call, they should call the bank before giving out any personal information.
