Traffic stop leads to meth lab discovery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Police arrested a man after a traffic stop where they found methamphetamine that led to the discovery of a meth lab at a house in Fort Wayne on Friday.

According to the police report form the Fort Wayne Police Department, after 10:30 p.m. police stopped Kenneth Sorrell, 33. Police said they found methamphetamine on Sorrell and while talking with him, detectives discovered a meth lab at 2206 Brooklyn Ave. Investigators said they found evidence of meth precursors and manufactured meth at the house.

This is the 31st meth lab in Fort Wayne for 2014.

Sorrell was processed and charged with possession of methamphetamine, dealing methamphetamine, and possession of two or more chemical precursors.

Sorrell is in the Allen County Jail as of 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
