One person in critical condition after accident

CELINA, Ohio (WANE) One person is in critical condition after an accident Friday morning.

According to a press release from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, two trucks were traveling south on Celina Mendon Road at around 10:30 a.m. As the driver of one of the vehicles tried to pass the person ahead, Lynn Combs-Abels, 43, of Mendon, Ohio was driving north through the intersection and swerved to avoid the oncoming truck.

Combs-Abels’ vehicle went off the road, came back on, overturned and traveled off the West side of the road until it came to a stop in a field.

Combs-Abels and her passenger, Thomas Abels, 61, were taken to local hospitals. They were later flown to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

Lynn Combs-Abels is in fair condition. Thomas Abels is in critical condition.
