Heroin bust leads to two arrests

CELINA, Ohio (WANE)  Acting on a tip about a drug deal in progress, police officers in Celina, Ohio found 51 capsules of heroin which resulted in two men being arrested.

On Tuesday evening just before 10 pm, officers with the Celina Police Department were sent o 1100 Myers Road after getting a report of a drug deal going down.  When they arrived on the scene they found an SUV with two people inside.  Officers searched one of the men, Joshua Kittle, 30, and found a capsule of suspected heroin in his shoe.  Five capsules of suspected heroin were found on the other man, Benjamin Creech, 28, and he was arrested on a drug warrant.   Creech then told one of the officers that more drugs could be found in the SUV and 45 more capsules were found along with a syringe.

The two men are being held in the Mercer County Jail.

Heroin has been a growing problem in Mercer County and law enforcement has been actively seeking the public’s help to combat the problem.
