FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The woman accused of helping her family attack a female police officer is now pleading guilty.

Faneshea Turner pleaded guilty to resisting law enforcement Tuesday morning.

On May 10, the officer responded to the 3500 block of Bowser Avenue on Saturday because of an accident. She arrived to find dozens of people standing around yelling at each other. As the officer was breaking up the fighting a 12-year-old kept yelling and cussing at the officer. She told the girl to get inside the house. That’s when the girl started fighting with another girl.

The officer took the 12-year-old into custody but that’s when the Turner’s became violent towards the officer – pulling her hair, kicking and punching her.

Backup eventually arrived.  Courtney and Faneshea Turner were both taken into custody.

Faneshea Turner  will be sentenced in October.
