Fort Wayne, Ind. (WANE) – Traffic downtown was slowed Tuesday morning after a car crashed into a street light pole.

Fort Wayne Police say around 7:30 a.m., a woman driving on Clay Street crashed into the pole near Washington Boulevard. The pole was knocked over and the car flipped, pinning the woman inside.

As of 9:00 a.m. Clay Street remained closed between Washington and Jefferson Boulevards as crews worked to repair the light pole. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
