FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) – Brett Fox left his assistant coaching position at Taylor University in search of a head coaching job. It’s taken him to Columbia City. Fox takes over for Randy Hudgins this fall after the former Eagles coach departed for the same job at Bluffton High School.
Fox inherits a team that finished 4-7 last season and loses both a starting quarterback and an all-state wide receiver. Still, seven starters are back on offense and six on defense for Columbia City. Fox says his approach will be simple on both sides: get the ball to his athletes in space on offense, stop the run on defense.
Columbia City will get its first test of the Fox era on August 22nd when the Eagles play host to Warsaw.
