FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A second Jersey Mike’s Subs has opened in Fort Wayne and to celebrate, the restaurant is raising money to support the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana and the Carroll High School Athletic Department.
The new location at 10020 Lima Road has circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the area offering a free regular sub in exchange for a minimum $1 contribution to the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana or the Carroll High School Athletic Department.
“As we gear up to open our second location in Fort Wayne, we are reminded of how fortunate we are to be a part of the Jersey Mike’s brand,” said franchise owner Lee Pines. “It’s our tradition at Jersey Mike’s to host a fundraiser for our community as part of the grand opening fundraiser. This time around, we’ve teamed up with the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana and Carroll High School Athletic Department. It feels great to give back to members our community and to know that all money we raise will stay local.”
Pines owns the store with Peter Lieffring. The fundraising will run from July 30 to August 3.
Pines and Lieffring also own the first Jersey Mike’s Subs that opened in Fort Wayne in 2013 on Jefferson Boulevard.
