Wayne’s Robertson Picks Up Offer From Michigan

FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) – One of the hottest recruits in the Class of 2016 continues to burn his way through the summer. Wayne defensive end Auston Robertson picked up a scholarship offer from Michigan while on a visit to Ann Arbor on Sunday. The junior already holds offers from Indiana and Notre Dame, with several other major programs showing interest.

Robertson’s case is a unique one in that he has played tight end up until about two months ago when a coach at a summer clinic suggested he try defense. He’s shown enough potential this summer to be ranked as one of the top defensive prospects in the nation, with 247 Sports listing Robertson as the second best prospect in the state in his class.
