FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A Fort Wayne man was indicted in federal court on Wednesday.

29-year-old Michael Eberle is accused of robbing the IAB Financial Bank in Harlan on June 16.
He is also facing a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Investigators say he robbed the bank at gunpoint and demanded money.

Eleven days after the robbery, The FBI Fort Wayne Safe Streets Task Force arrested Eberle on the 7900 block of West Jefferson Boulevard in Fort Wayne, which is near Lutheran Hospital.

Initial reports from police about the crime stated that a second man was waiting in the car that drove away from the scene with the armed robber. Subsequent releases from officials on the robbery have not indicated if police are looking for or have arrested a second suspect.

A previous release from the FBI on Eberle’s arrest stated that he faces a maximum of 25 years in jail and a $250,000 fine.
