No appointments, insurance needed for free clinic

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Three entities are joining forces to offer a free health clinic in Fort Wayne on Wednesday.

From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., anyone can visit the Fort Wayne Medical Clinic, 3537 North Anthony Blvd. Suite C. No appointments or insurance are required.

At the clinic, Canterbuy Nursing, will screen for and educate the public about diabetes. The provider of long and short-term nursing care has donated the equipment for the diabetes testing.

Medtech College students and staff will take health histories, chart complaints and nurses will take vital signs, measure body mass index and of course, screen for diabetes.

A doctor will also be at the clinic and will review information and write prescriptions when necessary. Narcotics and controlled substances will not be included in any prescriptions. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
