Lowe’s expected to announce Indianapolis facility

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Home-improvement retailer Lowe’s is expected to announce what state officials are calling a major development in Indianapolis.

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard are both scheduled to join in an economic development announcement Tuesday morning at a business park on the city’s northwest side.

A spokeswoman for the North Carolina-based retailer tells The Indianapolis Star that the company will take part in the event but wouldn’t disclose details.

The site of the announcement in the Intech Park is a building that housed information technology operations for drugmaker Eli Lilly and Co. until its lease expired last year.
