One dead, 6 hurt after crash in Kosciusko Co.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – One person is dead and six more are hurt after a crash in Kosciusko County. It happened around 3:20 p.m. Sunday afternoon on State Road 13. That’s at the south edge of North Webster.

According to investigators, a pickup truck and minivan hit head on and then burst into flames. Police said Matthew Wagoner, 29, was headed north on State Road 13 when he crossed the centerline. Wagoner’s truck then hit the minivan. There were two children inside the vehicle at the time of the accident that were taken to a hospital in Fort Wayne. One of the children is listed in critical condition.

According to the police report, the minivan was driven by Jeremy Valentine, who died upon impact. The other three passengers were taken to a hospital in Fort Wayne, Seana Valentine, 38 is listed in critical condition.

The incident is still under investigation.
