INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man wanted in connection to a homicide in Greene County this weekend has been taken into custody.
Dispatchers with Indiana State Police Bloomington District confirm 35-year-old Jason Lee Caldwell was apprehended in Indianapolis early Monday morning.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call Saturday afternoon reporting that 54-year-old David Lamm had been killed at his home. When officers arrived, they found Lamm’s body inside the home near Newark.
Kevin Caldwell, 41, was arrested as a person of interest in the case.
Police said Jason Lee Caldwell was on the loose and wanted on a warrant out of Greene County on unrelated charges. He was believed to have been driving the victim’s vehicle and was considered armed and dangerous.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department took Jason Lee Caldwell into custody just before 4 a.m. Monday. Indiana State Police said around 4:30 a.m. he was being transported back to Greene County.
